The following terms applies to warranty claims arising on Snappy Chef ® products.

Domestic Appliances

All appliances are guaranteed a 7-day, hassle free, in store exchange if faulty upon unboxing.

All working components of domestic appliances are covered with a limited 24 month warranty.
This should be taken to:

Should any indication of industrial use be found when repairs are being made, the warranty period will default to 3 months

Industrial Appliances

All appliances are guaranteed a 7-day, hassle free, in store exchange if faulty upon unboxing.

All working components of industrial appliances are covered with a limited 24 month warranty. Industrial appliances are indicated as such in the product name.

Cast Iron Cookware

Any unused cookware in damaged condition, including dents, breakages and/or scratches will be exchanged for cookware of the same range, type and size.

Cookware damages resulting from negligence and/or misuse will not be covered by the exchange policy.

*Superlight Cast Iron Cookware is covered with a limited 5-year warranty, excluding the glass-lids and chips in the interior and/or exterior enamel coating of the cookware.

Damage resulting from use in a microwave oven, cutting food on the surface of the cookware, discoloration and or using electrical or handheld mixers in the cookware will void the warranty.

*Double Sided Braai Grids have a limited 12 month warranty. Scratch marks or severe scratching by use of metal utensils is not covered by the warranty.

Stainless Steel Cookware

Any unused cookware in damaged condition, including dents, breakages and/or scratches will be exchanged for cookware of the same range, type and size.

Cookware damages resulting from negligence and/or misuse will not be covered by the exchange policy.

Stainless Steel Cookware has a limited 12 month warranty on all items excluding the glass-lids. Scratch marks or severe scratching by use of metal utensils is not covered by the warranty. Damage from overheating (discolouration) is instantly recognizable and is not covered by the warranty.

Induction Kettles

Unused kettles in damaged condition, including dents, breakages and/or scratches will be exchanged for kettles of the same range, type and size.

Any used kettles with faults and/or breakages will be considered for exchange only once the cause of said damages has been determined with-in 12 months from date of purchase. The coloured outer-layer of these kettles cannot be guaranteed against damage resulting from general usage.

Kettle damages resulting from negligence, misuse, general wear-and-tear will not be covered by the exchange policy.

Coastal rust has been reported, and is not covered by the exchange policy.
Take care to keep the kettle clean & dry when not in use.

Knife-sets

The Snappy Chef Professional German-steel Knife-sets are covered by a 25-year exchange warranty. Any unused knives in damaged condition, including dents, breakages and/or scratches will be exchanged for knives of a similar size & make.

Any used knives with faults and/or breakages will be considered for exchange only once the cause of said damages has been determined. Knife damages resulting from negligence, misuse, general wear-and-tear will not be covered by the exchange policy.

Snappy Chef Knives are NOT dishwasher safe and damage from dishwasher cleaning is instantly recognisable and will void the warranty immediately.

The Snappy Chef Japanese Damascus Knives are covered by a 25-year exchange warranty. Any unused knives in damaged condition, including dents, breakages and/or scratches will be exchanged for knives of a similar size & make.

Any used knives with faults and/or breakages will be considered for exchange only once the cause of said damages has been determined. Knife damages resulting from negligence, misuse, general wear-and-tear will not be covered by the exchange policy.

Snappy Chef Knives are NOT dishwasher safe and damage from dishwasher cleaning is instantly recognisable and will void the warranty immediately.

Other Products

Snappy Chef supplementary products with any faults or defects will only be exchanged with-in 12 months from the date of purchase.

*Products listed as supplementary may have additional guarantee conditions unique to said product.

Snappy Chef Surge Protector Plugs – This product has a limited usage span of one (1) power surge. No exchanges will be made once the product lifetime has been exceeded.

Duties

It is the responsibility of the customer to produce the proof of purchase in order to determine the validity of a claim. Proof of purchase might be obtained from the supplier or original reseller of the goods.

Should any goods be returned for claim without a purchase receipt, the items will be deemed to hold no valid warranty.

Responsibilities

In line with the Value Added Tax Act 89, of 1991 and the Tax Administration Act 28, of 2011 and pursuant to the SAICA Retention of Records Guide Apr 2019, stockists will retain purchase records and make available such on request of the relevant purchaser for use of warranty claims.

It is the responsibility of the customer claiming the warranty to obtain such record from the relevant stockist, and to provide such to Snappy Chef Trading (Pty) Ltd in the event of a warranty claim.

Commitment

Snappy Chef Trading (Pty) Ltd commits to honour warranty claims in line with this guide to ensure the best reasonable outcome to the customer.

In the event where a valid claim cannot be honoured, the company commits to provide a product of similar size / value.

Repairs, Replacements & Refunds

Pursuant to the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, The Snappy Chef Group has set-up a Repairs, Replacements & Refunds Policy to govern our conduct when fulfilling our warranties.
